I recently purchased a '01 yukon and just realized that the tube for the rod that winds down the spare tire is in two parts and they are not connected at the bumper. Please tell me how to get the bumper end of the tube disconnected from the bumper so that I can put the longer tube into the short one and be able to operate the winch. As it is, I can't get the spare tire down.
