I have a 2004 Tahoe and it is stuck away from home, sniff, sniff. I have read about the secondary lock on the spare, but if I understand it right this is when the cable is playing out and the tire won't drop.
Well I can't get the cable or tire to drop. It has been over a year or so since I have had to use the spare and now I am even questioning that I am doing this right.
I am using the flattened/curved end of the tool to try to lower/crank it down. I feel the tool fit in place turn it and...nothing....any help/info on this would be greatly appreciated. Have already decided to replace the winch if I do get it down.
I really don't sleep well at night knowing my baby ain't at home.http://www.tahoeforum.com/images/smilies/sad72.gif
