I'm close to completing my upgrades to my 1999 Yukon.
This is a stock daily driver, and vacation trip vehicle.
As I have noted in past post (years past) I purchased my Yukon new in 1999.
It spent it's entire life in the elements, never been garaged.
The best vehicle I've ever owned, and I'll be 79 in June, owned a lot of vehicles.
I started adding/swapping parts in Aug of 2010
Over the years I have added
Nerf bars
fender flares
window visors
front and rear 2" lift
Grill/head lites/tail lites
17" Ultra Badland wheels/30" Michelin LTX ms tires
AC Delco spider and FelPro intake gasket, also replaced some small parts..Dist cap/Rotor/PVC/Thermostat etc.
DNX Kenwood/Garmin Navigation receiver/rear backup camera
Replaced 3 door actuators
ScanGauge II
Tow Mirrors
GMC steering wheel cover
WeatherTech mats, front and cargo
This year I replaced the carpet front/rear. (lotta work for one man)
Had the passenger side rear 1/4 window removed and reset, it was leaking, had to do it before the carpet went in.
Later this summer I'll replace the other side just in case.
Up graded my little after market console drink thingy
replace the sagging sun visors
Installed a new hood latch pull
Last Sunday traveled to Atlanta to meet with Justin, and had the Blackbear tune for 99 Yukon.
Dont remember what all he did, but I can tell a definite improvement in over all drive-ability.
Sooner/quicker shifts, immediate pedal response, from the stop light and on the road.
Very happy with the tune.
Did master cylinder swap today, I'll have the breaks bled next Saturday.
I included some pictures as of today, comments welcome.
I'll do add on part 2, and 3 for more pictures.
Ron
