So i have driven a few other Suv's such as the X5, MDX, and the Lexus truck and they are all not what i am looking for at all. I get into these and i feel so cramped and such, then i get to the last stop on my dealership tour and sit in the Denali and wow!! Freedom!! What a difference in cabin openness. So i am not looking any further than the Denali or Tahoe, if i really feel nuts the escalade. Besides the styling, engine, and trans, can anyone tell me the any of the other differences between the Denali and the Tahoe? Is the dash still all plastic up top in the tahoe as i the denali was covered. Cost wise both trucks are close, 3 to 4K i believe. Is the leather any different btw the two? How about btw the Yukon and the Denali? I also stopped at the caddy dealer and o man that escalade is so beautiful, lol

Denali, baby!

Styling, engine, trans, and cost are really the main differences. Have you driven the Denali and the Tahoe? The 6.2/6-speed is a fantastic combination with enough power to blow your doors off, but the Tahoe has some get-up-and-go as well. Denali comes mostly loaded, only 4 or 5 options, whereas Tahoe has several package levels and nearly everything is optional. You will find some discussions here on why people (like me) didn't buy an Escalade over their Denali; sounds like you may have reached similar conclusions -- costs too much more for too little differences between that and Denali... Whatever you get, be sure to post some pics. Good luck, and welcome!

Getwired, Hey thanks for the info. I really do love the styling of the Denali minus those rear tail lights which i would do away with as i would want to do the escalade taillight swap. The one huge thing that is getting me at the moment which i truly appreciate is the lack of a telescoping wheel and express up/down for all the windows like in my benz. I am really hoping that they don't kill me and start installing them on the '09, but i really can't wait that long to buy either.

Can't give you a feature by feature comparison, but you'll like the 6.2 and 6speed trans in the Denali over the Tahoe/Yukon. Other feature differences are slight, but in my opinion it was worth the extra money for a Denali(To me).

Also, understand about the express windows, that should have been put in on higher end Tahoes and Yukons. The lack of a telescoping wheel doesn't bother me though.

Good luck, you'll love it!

I've finalized my decision... i'm goin with a black on black Denali. I'm a power guy and after goin back and forth i think the denali would be the best choice.

Thanks for the advice.

You won't be sorry! Just be sure to pick a black one that you have inspected the paint on in direct sunlight. GM has had issues with black paint on many 07's, including the SUVs, where the black looks like a muddy brown due to incorrect number of base coats. I'm sure you'll pick out a good one, and post some pics when you bring home your new baby!
