Mine is doing the same. Dealer said they have been replacing a lot of the door moldings. Mine have been on order for almost a month. They replace the original ones that are glued on with ones that use tape.
Mine did the same thing. I had the dealer replace them.
just take the moulding off then =D
I have taken the molding off of my 95 TA and my 00 WS6 and it looks so much better, I have been thinking about taking it off of the Yukon.....
If you like the molding and you don't want the hassle of bringing it back, you can double stick tape it, BUT, you need to look for a 3M double stick. It comes in a red package and has a green safety strip along the tape. This is the industrial double stick that is used often for exterior items and will hold that piece on until you sell it! Just cut what you need, put it behind the loose area and you'll be done with it.
I've used this stuff on my Goldwing and it just holds that stuff on forever!!!
Taking the moldings off the TA looks good. Same with the C5 Corvettes but the Tahoe has such a big door not sure you would be happy with the look... To me it gives it more of a LS base model appearance. JMHO. If you would rather fix it, the dealer should take care of it with some new 3M VHB tape or just replace it with new.:yesnod:
I think I will leave the Yukon alone so I do not get door ding, the WS6 sits in a garage it gets driven very little, so since the Yukon is a daily I will leave it on.I see a sweet Y body in your sig check out my site if you want www.scfyb.com
Thanks... Here is a picture of the Y body. It just turned 4900 miles and yes that is correct, It doesn't get driven that much. We try to do a few car shows when we have time.
I am hoping in a few years I can get a C6 Z06, heres a pict. of mine.....
