Side mirror chrome covers...removable??

On an LTZ, are the chrome covers on the side mirrors removable (if they are just covers)? If so, is it safe to assume the side mirrors would be black under the cover? I like the chrome accents on the LTZ but could live without the side mirror covers. Thanks!

The aftermarkets are just plastic and put on with double sided tape. I would think GM might do the same as the have different color caps for the different styles and body colors.

If you decide you don't like them and they come off clean, I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands if they'll fit my Yukon.

My 07 LTZ came with the chrome mirrors, door handles, and grill. I had all the chrome switched out for black except the grill. So yes, they are removable, but to match the color of the truck you will need to get new covers.
