Shifting

at speeds between 42 and 52 vehicle wants to down shift from overdrive but seems to be undecided which gear to go in. when throttle is applied it then shifts down.
2000 Chevy Tahoe Z71 4x4
5.7L w/ 200,000 miles
rebuilt tranny Nov 2011,
no other symptoms

"In town speeds" of a max of 55 mph, I keep the transmission in Drive. Keeps the tranny from shifting back and forth and helps with braking.
