Service Traction Control

The service traction control/stabiltrak message came up yesterday while driving 70mph on the interstate. I looked iot up in the operating manual - not much there. I did try the remedies outlined and the messages are still on.

I am wondering what the problem is and fix>I am reasonably mechanical but is this a shop only fix?
