I am going to replace my leather seat cover on my '03. Do i need to remove the seat or can it stay in place? Any tips?

Keep us updated on how this goes. I want to do mine. At 50k miles, my driver seat looks like its at 100k. I'm slowly trying to bring it back with conditioners and so forth. The previous owner must have been a very large guy who didn't like to use the running boards to get into the truck. It doesn't help the fact the leather in these trucks are not the best for long term looks. Compound the fact if you don't take care of them from the very beginning it makes it worse.....

Ok I'm done.....

But still keep us updated.

Definitely interested in hearing about this. I got in my truck with a pen in my back pocket and tore the seat quite nicely getting out.

I know this is not what you are looking for or probably what you were hoping to hear but….

I have a knock in the backrest portion of my driver’s seat. When I accelerate, the backrest moves a little and makes a popping sound. I figured there was something loose or broken so I attempted to remove the cover and see what was going on under there. After about 20 minutes of removing, pulling, fighting, and pulling some more, I decided I would live with the noise………..

yea im pretty sure your going to have to take it out. on my 95 tahoe theres 4 bolts under the seat and the cover is all held in by hogrings.. i believe also your going to have to disassemble the seat. meaning top part and bottom part from each other..
