running amp power cable and speaker wire

I'm installing a couple subs in my 05 z71 and I'm not sure of the best way to run the amp power cable and then the speaker wire to the subs. From what I understand there is a good hole in the firewall on the drivers side, then from there should I run it down the side panels in the floor or try to pull it through under the carpet all the way back? And how hard are the kick panels to get off? Thanks for any help, tons of info here I love the site so far!

i would have a hole drilled in the firewall, then run the power under the carpet and under the trim panel at the bottom of the doors until you get to the back then go from there, and as far as speaker wire i dont understand what you mean, the amp will be in the back with the subs right?
