I don't know how the toahoe works but I know most of GM's new cars, it's virtually impossible to do this. Even if you get a new gauge cluster, the mileage is still stored in the computer. I also believe you can go to jail for doing this as well

Onstar's database would have previous mileage on given dates. Whether anybody is going to check out previous mileage is anybodys guess.
BTW, what you are proposing is called fraud.

Interesting terminology. Can Onstar "screw you over"? You mean does Onstar provide a data base that the dealer and other people can check if you try to screw them over by fraudulant actions. Yes, as does the truck's computer.

LOL

i cant believe he just asked this question on a forum... LOL

onstar only diagnosis's your vehicle if you have a membership.. the first yeear is obviously freee.. after that dont get it and than go do your thing.. !!

is it really worth it? we'll all just pretend you had a brain fart and you realize it is foolish and just plain ole inconsiderate to the person who pulls up in your driveway to buy your truck.. drive her and enjoy her.. and pay for the excess mileage like a man..!!

This isnt something I would discuss in a public forum.

i was just thinking that same thing, also the little black box in the car can tell anything, it knows weather you are wearing your belt , how fast you drive, engine rpm, and a ton of other stuff, and plus the odometer is computerised kinda hard to roll that back.
