There are a million posts covering the air shocks, but I haven't been able to find this particular answer. Any time that I lift the rear end of my 01 Tahoe, I will get the "Service Ride Control" status message for the following handful of days. After 5 days to a week, the messages go away and the vehicle runs without problems.

Is there a specific procedure that I need to be doing prior to lifting the vehicle? Depending on the particular job, I have been placing the jack either along the frame or under the rear differential.

Thanks for any insight.
