Anyone install some used stock fender flares? I have a friend looking for some on his Tahoe, but are pricy from Chevy. I was going to go to the junk yards and find a set.

I am assuming threre is 2 sided tape that holds them to the fenders. Along with the plastic clips in the feder wells. Can you scrap the old tape off, and use some 3M 2 sided tape, and have it hold??

im sure it would work fine, just make sure you get real good quality double sided tape.

I just bought up the last rear ones for an 02 I could find and had a friend give me a good deal on some aftermarket 'stock' style front ones.
I scuffed em with a 3m scotchbrite pad and gave them 4 light coats of Marson BLACK SATIN spray paint.
They use 3m two sided tape. 1/2" wide tape.

So yes, you can simply buy new tape.
Before installing, test fit them with no tape as you may need to do some trimming.

GM flares are big money! 03+ are same but different part numbers....00 to 02 are cheaper if you can get them.
