Reset Oil Filter on 05 Tahoe

I have been taking my 05 Tahoe to my dealership since I bought it for service. But they have closed down due to our lovely economy. So I am doing oil changes myself. I was wondering how to reset the oil filter life. I also noticed that the filter is small for a SUV. Does anyone know if they make a taller one? Or does it matter?

I believe you can do it on the DIC. If you don't have one, try turning the key to the run position but don't start and press and release the accelerator four times.

The owner's manual should also tell you.
