Man am I depressed. I just replaced my shocks with Monroes, what they recommended as a replacement shock for a "smooth" ride. Well, I just blew $485 and the ride is anything but smooth. It rides just terrible. I have a standard 2WD Tahoe. The dealer quotted me something like $1200 just for the rear shocks. I guess there is no free lunch. Am I forced to go the dealer route or does anyone know of any other alternatives?
