I have a 2007 Tahoe and the gauges where the odometer etc are lightly scratched. You can only notice this when the sun hits them right but it is bugging me.

What could I try and use to remove these light scratches from the plastic?

the only thing is to replace the clear plastic. never use a wetdry or vaccum brush attachment to vaccum the dust around the gauges cuz youll get the scratches you have. i always use a microfiber towel to wipe this area down.

yeah I always use micro fiber as well but the previous owner must have used a vacumn brush to do the cleaning.

I was hoping there was something that might take the light scratches out.

Anyone know where I could order the clear plastic that goes in there if the scratches cant be removed?

Meguiars has a plastic polish that will remove scratches. There are others out there also.

I have had very good luck with the 3M Plastic scratch remover for things like this.

That's what you want, as long as it is application specific it should work fine (i.e. it's designed for plastic, not metal, paint, etc.)

...and I use one of those Swiffer things for dusting the interior including the instrument cluster. Just don't push hard on it but lightly touch it to the plastic.
