I had 2 fobs for my 2003 Tahoe. One of the remotes stopped working, so I replaced the battery and set out to reprogram both. One did, this one did not. So, I ordered a new one from remotez4less. it programmed just fine but the remaining working fob did not. The seller recommended what he calls a "battery reset", where you disconnect the vehicle battery, short the battery cables together, then reconnect and then reprogram. No joy. I took the original fobs and the new one to the GM dealer and he placed them on a test "gadget" and confirmed that all 3 are sending signals when you operate their buttons. I saw an obscure entry somewhere describing something similar and it said that you ( in effect ) have to clear out a table or list of remotes in the BCM. Not sure whether to put any faith in that position or not.
Does anyone have a suggestion ?
