Remote Entry Key Fob

I have an RPO for the remote entry ... my Tahoe didn't come with the key fob. Would all I need to do is go to a Chevrolet dealer, give them my VIN, and ask for the key fob? It's incredibly frustrating having to lock the doors with the interior button every time I get out. Thanks in advance!

2002. I ordered 2 key fobs off ebay ... they should be here on Tuesday. Hoping everything works.

What you can do in the mean time is on the driver door lock switch is hold down the unlock button while the same time cycle the ignition all the way to the on position then back to the off position 2 times not the crank postion then let go of the unlock button if the door locks cycle that means you have remote function
