Well this is my second time in for this, before when it melted the washer and black wire. This time they put in the harness/fuse. All it is, is a 4 inch long wire which plugs into the washer and the other into the harness. It must have took them 30 seconds to do it. This does not help it from happening again, just protects it from fire or melting wire. Piss poor fix if you ask me. But the bigger problem was a oil leak near the rear main seal. They were going to put in a new seal but decided to put some dye in the oil to see if it is pourous leak in the block. So either way it is going to be a big job. Will know more when I take it back in around 200 miles for them to see where exactly it is. So far nothing but troubles for my 07 Denali with only 5000 miles.

I can't stand the Dealer, I just got back ny Denali it was in the shop for a week and a day to fix the steering wheel control lights that's all they had to fix. They replaced almost everything BCM board, switches you name it. I called GM and they got involved because it took so long, they told the dealership tp grab an 09 Denali and start taking out all the parts that go to the steering controls. After all they found the problem it was a blown fuse they said it fused itself back together and they could not tell it was blown. The day before I got it back I got into it with the Service Mgr. and he told me that if they find that they find out that it was my fault they were going to charge me for the rental car they gave me and I told him he would not be standing there if they tried it. I have HIDS so thats what he was refering to. They next day it was done and of course it was not my fault and they did not give me any comps. like free oil change or changes or even fill up my car. My Denali was really clean when it went in and when i got it back it was full of dust and had 2 or 4 grease smudges on the drivers door panel on the inside! What should I do with this delaer? GM Customer Asst. called and told me they were going to compinsate me but I want the dealer to get whats coming to them.

I have recently seen some videos of americans at the plants putting the new vehicles together, no wonder they have problems, some lady was putting a fender on with 1 hand and it slammed up against the side panels, another man was putting something in the engine with his head turned talking to another employee. The dealer employees are no different. I love my yukon and silverado but they were not put together correctly or made correctly, just wish we had other than americans putting them together. A bold statement I know, but look at foreign auto employees putting together a new vehicle. Had a toyota and nissan before they built them in usa, they were built right, no problems out of the gate unlike most usa built vehicles. (Recent GM recall for heated washer for fires, come on). As by my tag tint2sell, I have tinted windows now for 17 years. Have seen a lot as we did take off door panels and back seats to many of them. American built cars are just not up to par, sorry.

Tint2sell, its sad to even read that.
When you hear stories of UAW workers that slack its no wonder car companies are going under. I would work on GM engine installs all day and night for 25.00 an hour if I knew how.
what could be a better job than making a quality car here in the USA?
