Have a 95 Tahoe. The front and rear passenger door locks work fine with remote. The rear swinging doors do not. At first, when I was unable to get in, I could here the switch under the dash and I could hear the motor trying to unlock the doors. Now, all I hear is the switch under the dash.
Here are the biggest problems. The rear key lock is broken so i cant unlock the door this way. Neither the remote or the door panel unlock button will open the rear door.
Since I know the motor was initially working, albeit at an incomplete level, I will assume the motor has worn out and likely needs replacing, and since the rear lock cylinder is broken, I cant get in that way. There is no internal escape hatch button for the rear doors that I know of and no way to get at the rear door panels because I believe you need to have the doors open to access them, now what.
I can think of some destructive ways to get in but am hoping that someone else has an idea. I could cutaway the back door carpeted panel and hopefully access it that way or I might be able to drill the rear door hinges and pull the door off that way. I would rather not do this. Suggestions please. Thank you, William
