OK, my wife rides in the back seat of my Tahoe with the kiddo on long trips (Quad seating), and she always wants me to run the heat for her feet. Now, the heat for the back area (upper controls) does not seem to warm the lower area of the 2nd row. The only time she notices any warmth on the feet area is when I run the front heat on the lower areas. I am hot natured, so I prefer no heat.

Is that clear as mud?

What setting should it be on for the heat to reach the 2nd row feet area?

Thanks in advance.

Just look at the little pictograph thingy on the rear HVAC controls...one setting should depict an arrow pointed toward the feet. That is techinically the "floor" setting for the rear passengers, but even then it doesn't blow out at the feet of the second row passenger - it basically blows right into the back of the second row passenger side seat from one single vent, although it's pretty powerful. If your wife wants warmth for her feet, she'd be best served by setting the rear controls for the ceiling vents, and angling them toward her feet as best she can.

At least thats how it is on my Yukon. Not the best setup in the world, but it really does help on cold days. Conversely, she could just bring a nice comfy blanket to cover her legs with. ;)

Yeah, I noticed that. I'm glad I don't have to ride in the back!

Even the front air doesn't do that well in the feet area.

Install a ceiling fan back there to move the air around. She'll be thrilled to go to Home Depot to pick out an accessory for the truck. :D

Seriously, I can't think of an easy way to get air there without running a duct under / through the center console from the front floor outlet.

Do What I do, leave the wife home so she doesnt complaint, works every time you wont get a single peep about the heat not working. no but seriusly if it is pointed to the feet you should feel the heat.
