Hello all,

I have an 02 Z71 Tahoe. It just started this past weekend. When I drive at slow speeds 5-10 mph the rear end kind of wiggles back and forth. When I go faster the wiggling just about stops and the truck just vibrates, like you can see your/my belly shaking. Then when I slow down the whole truck just wiggles back and forth. I looked at the tries and check the air 32psi. I also looked at the wheels to see if there were any missing weights, and they all looked fine. It doesn't feel like the tires are out of balence, I have had that problem before. I also looked at the e-break and that was not stuck. That is almost what the truck feels like, like one wheel e-break is just slightly on and the rotor-drum is out of round and catches every time it goes around. Any ideas??

Thanks,

Greg

it sounds like you have a bad tire. if you can try a different set of wheels.

Thanks for all the suggestions. it was a shifted belt in the right rear tire!!!

I looked at the tires the other day and I thought they looked ok, but today I put the whole truck up on jack stands and rolled the wheels and looked at one spot on the tire as it rolled around.......and there it was!! the tire had a bulge on half and and then a dip in the middle. They are original tires with 75,000 miles, not too bad i guess.

Thanks again everyone!!
