My 2001's back side door hinge is making a horrible noise when opened and closed. Has any else experienced this? The hinge part that is making the noise is internal on the door side.

Maybe a stupid question, but have you tried some WD40 using the little "straw" / tube thing and spraying into the door? I've had issues like that with other cars due to the silicone grease drying out or whatever on the closer-bar / track thing... BUT, WD40 is petroleum based, and you may be better off with some silicone spray with a long straight tube if you can find some. If not, some WD40 might be a cheap quick fix.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried WD-40 and it makes it better for the short term. Today I pulled the boot cover from the door side and I was able to put some grease directly on the rollers inside the door. It helped, but still not as smooth and quiet as it should be.
