Rear audio controls

So i would like to delete the rear audio controls on my 01' SLT. Are there going to be any problems with taking it out? Also where could I find the cubby compartment (im assuming) or whatever would go there if I didnt have the rear controls. What about the tape deck? Can i get a cubby for that space also? not sure about the rear controls

but the tape deck you can just get the pocket from your local dealer like $15-20 it fits from 95 and up tahoes it is felt lined and fits great
