Rarity of 97 Tahoe Sport

My father has a 1997 Tahoe Sport with cargo doors in the back, not the tailgate. A guy asked him if he wanted to sell it while he was in the parking lot of a McDonald's, as the guy said it is a very rare car. I was wondering if any one knows what production figures were for 97 Tahoes and just how rare my father's Tahoe is. I have seen like two around our area, but never one with cargo doors and if you search for one online, all the ones you find have the tailgate.

i dont know for sure but thats what i drive and most people i know have a 96 or 98 so if mine is more rare id like to know myself

Ive been told my 98 2dr is rare and it has the tailgate, if yours is USA built i think it could be truely rare. Mine is of Mexico build

My is a two door with cargo doors ......very rare only one in my town.....
