Random popping noise from rear, 04 tahoe lt, 5.3

Getting a random popping type noise from the rear of the vehicle. Random in nature and number of times it pops regardless of speed or road conditions. Not feeling any handling or shifting issues. Have already changed the rear shaft U-joints. and checked rear diff level and filled. With windows down, pop sounds metallic in nature. no set pattern or rhythm to it. Any more ideas? Has electronic ride suspension. Any ideas?

You might check the sway bar bushings and the sway bar link, the shocks. just a good visual inspection might turn up something. Just remember these are big heavy vehicles on basically a pickup frame and suspension
