i have a 1998 tahoe Ls. A buddy of mine has a acura MDX and was given an extra set of the blank flip keys that acura uses. i was wondering if there is anyway that we could program that key and cut it so it would work with my tahoe? Any help would be great.

i don't think an acura key blank is the same as a gm. i highly doubt it would work. does it even fit into the ignition cylinder?

yea, i would doubt the key would fit into the cylinder. also, i dont think honda and GM use the same metal, so the passlock system would not allow the car to start. i could be wrong, but i believe they had passlock in 98.

being a ex honda service mgr i'd have to say that even if the acura key does fit your cylinder i believe their computer systems that run the chip in the key are totally different.
