Question on Gas Tank Material/Finish

I have a 98 2 door Tahoe that needs a leaky gas tank replaced. From what I've found there are two different materials/finishes to pick from. One is galvanized and the other is Ni-Terne. What are the pros and cons of each? How to a pick one over the other? I don't care at all about looks. I'm just looking for maximum durability and corrosion resistance.
