We have an '05 Tahoe that we bought used a couple years ago. It has a Pursuit PRO-9275T remote starter system on it. I have not used the system since buying the car, but have recently found the car running a couple times. I don't know if I bumped the remote while carrying in my pocket or what? The little info that I have refers to a Safety (red handled) Control Switch that can be shifted to the off position.
Does anyone know where this safety control switch would likely be located? I've scanned under the hood and do not see a red handled Safety Control Switch. I may have missed it on first look - if you think so, speak up.

Pursuit system is made by Audiovox. I've also left a "how to shut off" question in their customer support mail box.

It would be great to have some installation instructions, but not so lucky.

Thanks

Pursuit Remote Start - how to disable

Just talked with tech guy from Audiovox - they make/sell or whatever the Pursuit system. He said to look for toggle switch under the dash... Did that, can't see a toggle switch. Ok, he next said to look for a 6 pin connector attached to a wallet size module (that would also be under the dash) with 2 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow, 1 green and 1 purple wires. Can't see these parts.
He then suggested going to an audio shop where they typically install a lot of remote start systems. They might be able to assist.

That's it for now.

How to disable remote start system

Took our '05 Tahoe to an audio shop to see if they could determine how to disconnect the remote start system. They found the module and quickly unhooked the 6 wire connection.

That should take care of our random mystery starts.
