Hey guys, got a question on the silvi. I hope you guys dont mind me asking here. I tried to joing GMFS. But it says im already a member and never signed up in my life. So i logged on with the only password I use on forums and it was wrong. But anyway. The passenger window on my silverado seems to be stuck. Tried it on the passenger side and it didnt work. Thought it was locked (you know how you can disable it) But found out it wasn't. Driver side does not work either. Have not checked the fuse. cause I dont see a reason to. Because it clicks. In both directions. It clicks to go up or down, but doesnt move. Like your trying to move it up when its up or down when its down. But it clicks like that both ways and wont budge. What could be the issue. Is there two fuses for one window?? Or is it frozen shut somehow. What do you guys thing I should check before I go take it in to the dealer???

thanks a bunch

Possibly the motor has gone out, so it clicks like its giving power, but since the motor is blown it doesn't move.

Haha, I'm not sure, but I would imagine you would take off the door panel like you said and replace the motor. A shop manual would really help you out, and would give you step by step instructions, something like a Chilton manual would be great, thats what I have.

No problem glad to help, but you might want to confirm your motor is bad before you order a new one, and you can check it when you get your shop manual. I would hate to have you order the part and then be stuck with it because the motor wasn't the problem.

The power to the windows runs through the switches, so if you have the switch disconnected or the switch is bad the window will not roll up or down. I would take the door panel off, and change the switch around from another door that you know works. Not sure if the switches are interchangable between both doors on the passenger side on your truck. Thats the route I would take first before taking a motor out.

The motor comes with the cables and the guides and takes about 20 minutes to install. I just did my driver’s door about 2 months ago. Piece of cake - PART
It’ll make sense after you get the broken one out.

Nice looking ride!

Where'd you get the badges?

Where did you get the rear deflector? Been looking for a good one for my '00 Tahoe 5.3

SS Chevelle is great too!

I have an old '68 Vette, love the old Chevys...
