2007 tahoe LS, Summit White, 228 miles, and 9 days from the dealer: Noticed little brown spots, all over, during first wash and after tons of rubbing and waxing they won't come off. tried the clay bar and still there, after getting some to come off with the finger nail, found out they are metal flakes rusting and it's in the paint. anyone ever heard of tiny metal flakes in new paint. Taking it back to the dealer tomorrow. I'm pissed that my new SUV paint is ruined already!!!

Wow, that sucks. The manufacturer should definately repaint it. You may be able to negotiate a trade for another new one. That's what I'd demand.

I'd check you states rules on new car purchase agreements. You may still be within the window to return it for a full refund for any reason. But, you better move fast. If you're still within the window, that would be great leverage to exchange the vehicle for another.

Let us know how your are treated, and who your dealer is (if you don't mind).

Just got back from the Threeway dealer in Bakersfield, Ca. This place was amazing, they knew exactly what it was, fall out, and polished it up to an amazing shine with the spots all gone. Couldn't be more pleased. They called it fall out, which is there term for rail dust. where they are located, it happens alot and they usually buff them out before the customer gets the vehicle. We looked around the dealership and noticed it on all the cars, even the older employee cars. All that matters is that they were honest and said they will do what ever it takes to make to us happy. Not the typical, "we got your money now see ya". Big load off my shoulders!!!!
