P0171 and P1074 Codes.. What Else????!!!

I have been getting these codes off and on. CEL will stay on for 50-100 miles then go off for 25-50 miles come back on again. Every now and then engine cold or hot, will have a rough idle spell when in drive but stopped. I have changed o2 sensors, I have changed fuel filter, Cleaned throttle body, Cleaned the MAF sensor, Thought maybe the infamous intake gasket leak, I have had the engine "smoked" no vac leaks, Im going to have the injectors cleaned today just incase there not putting out enough fuel causing a lean mixture code to pop. Any other ideas?? Someone has said something about a charcoal canister???? Thanks in advance!!

It certainly does sound like the intake gasket leak. I had those same codes, changed my gaskets and the codes are gone forever.

The last thing it could possibly be is the fuel pump or fuel filter. Since its intermittent, try the fuel filter first. (Cheapest fix).

If that doesnt work:
Replace the intake gaskets or
Replace the fuel pump.

Either one is some work. And if you take it somewhere, it will cost you a lot. If you are mechanically inclined, do it! It will save you THOUSANDS of dollars.

i changed my gaskets and it cost me $80 plus about 2 hours.

It was the gaskets..... changed them cleared code, no more trouble. runs like a charm.
