Hey gang -

New member, new Tahoe owner checking in. I traded in my 2000 Land Rover last Monday for a 2003 Tahoe LT with 48k. The manager of my local Chevy store is a friend and he did me right on my trade (which needed work - I disclosed that) and gave me a decent deal on the rig: $18,500. Maybe could have done a little better but I needed "out" of the Rover and time is money. The whole transaction took less than an hour.

Maintaining my vehicles is always a priority for me. Maintenance records for the Rover were kept in an Excel file and a I had a 3-ring binder with all my receipts, notes and records in sheet protectors (yes, I know I need help). The Tahoe's binder is being put together today.

This leads me to my question: is there any online retailer that the forum has a high regard for? With the Rover it was fairly straightforward: no one in town sold parts for it and there just weren't that many online options for places to shop. With the Tahoe the options are (and this is *such* a nice change) overwhelming.

A friend of mine is a big-rig mechanic and has worked on GM products his whole life. He and I will be maintaining this Tahoe and I am anxious to do a very thorough service in the next week or two.

Anyway - glad to be here, love the truck. Let me know if you have any advice.

Good luck needing any parts for the tahoe, and if you do have a failure any napa/advance/gmpartsonline/etc will suffice. I prefer the napa premium line and depending on the part you may end up getting delco parts for a hell of alot cheaper then the dealer charges with a better warranty.

Good job on the new truck, you won't be spending near as much as you did on that Land Rover. You made a good decision. We got rid of an 01 Discovery about a year ago and the Tahoe has had nowhere near the problems....none of the gaskets leak and I don't have oil and coolant drops all over the driveway, it's great!

Oh, and rockauto.com like the others said.
