I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe LT 4.8L V8 4X4....

All the bells & whistles for its year....(leather seats, heated seats, heated mirrors, power windows and seats, third row seats, DRL)

I was wondering.....

What should be the first mod I perform on my Hoe?

I already installed a sound system in it:
- 2 12" Almani subwoofers in a downfiring enclosure (800 watts RMS each)
- 1 Hifonics 1606D Mono Amp (1100 watts RMS @ 2-Ohms)
- 1 Hifonics 6406 4-channel Class A/B amp (85 watts RMS @ 4-ohms)
- 1 1.25 Farad Capacitor
- 2 Component speaker sets in the front
- 4 Coaxial speakers (2 in the rear and 2 in the far rear above-behind the third row seats)

What should I do next?

I was thinking of removing the factory tint and getting it 5% all around for that black on black look.....

I'll put pics up later when I have the time.....which is right about now...:D

You can't remove the tint from the factory privacy glass. With solar-ray glass, the tint is actually IN the glass. It's made that way. You can add some 35% over it and get the same effect though. Sounds like a nice 'hoe! Looking forward to seeing pics.

Factory tint, I thought the Glass is Privacy glass. Yea I tinted mine, that has to be next on the list. And some taillights. I have Dark on the rears over the privacy glass, and Medium up front.

which set of speakers isn't being powered by an amp? I'd fix that first.

Well, I think they bridged them so that all 6 speakers would be powered by the 4-channel amp

To be honest with you, I don't hear any distortion at all, even at highest volume (62)

Plus, the 5th and 6th speakers are really small tweeter size mids!!!
(Made to fit the tweeters in the far back)

It sounds good to me, which is all that really matters right?
