My oil is leaking right above the oil filter, and only there, and it looks like it is the base where the oil filter screws on. It has been this way for about 75k miles already, I know it is not the oil filter gasket. :waytogo:
Anyway, I have decided I want to fix it, but I cannot for the life of me identify what the part is, or find the gasket that goes there. Lots of searching leads me to believe it is the Oil Pressure Release/Relief valve, but then when I start searching for that part it takes me to a valve on top of the motor.
So, can anyone give me a little bump in the right direction? I would like to replace the gasket, and don't feel the need to replace the whole part, but I guess I could if it made sense.
Thanks!
Paul
