New to forum!

I've owned a 1999 Tahoe (5.7) for about 3 months and with the winter months upon us here in IA been using 4 x 4- Noticed yesterday that whenever the
front drive shaft would kick in during 'auto' 4x4 the oil pressure gage drops to 0 and the 'check gages' dummy light comes on. Again this only happens when the front drive shaft is engaged. Anyone heard of this happening?
Otherwise everything appears to be functioning properly - just kinda freaked me out!

thanks!

This just happened to me last night with auto 4 wheel in a snow storm on my 2007 yukon xl....I assume it is an issue with the gauge and not really the pressure because the low pressure idiot light didn't come on and I didn't notice anything different in the way it drove or saw any increase in the temperature gauge.

But I am concerned to drive it if I am wrong. And can't afford a big bill to fix it right now.
