Before you drain the oil, I strongly recommend that you get a small bucket, rather than the typical oil pan. The plug is on the side of the pan, so when it lets loose, the initial stream shoots out sideways, and makes pan placement a hit or miss situation. With a bucket, you can hold it up in the path of the stream and as the initial flow subsides, plane it easyily on the ground to catch the remaining. Also advise the use of a nylon strap wrench to remove the filter. It's nestled in a hollowed-out cavity which makes it difficult to get a good grip on it. And while your under there, check the 2 bolts that secure the little cover plate directly above the filter. They are known to come loose and leak oil.
