'05 Tahoe, has satellite radio, 6 disc, but no NAV. The paint is flaked off the knobs, and I've searched all the forums on here. Sorry if I'm overlooking them, but I want to order an OEM replacement. I can't find the part number (GM parts direct, google, etc..).

Any ideas/help?

Hmmm, good question. There's a bunch of knobs that need replacing, but I'll start with that. If it doesn't work, then I'll try replacing the entire head unit.

Ideas?

OEM numbers should be on the back of the radio. Pull the unit and write down the numbers and check online.

I know, I know Chowd... I guess I'll have to crack the dash. I'll be in bean town next month, hope the weather is good.

If it needs a lot of work, I'm not sure if I wouldn't go ahead and replace it. If it has enough age on it to have that much wear showing on the front, it may pay to get an updated unit.

I know 7 years does not sound like a lot, but there have been some serious advances in all electronics, head units included in that time... Even though that is a satellite unit, anything of quality that you buy today will be superior to that head unit. I would recommend replacing it as well.
