I noticed while watching a TV program, Who Do You Think You Are (TLC) the Kelly Clarkson episode, that when they showed the Tahoe she was driving they fuzzed out the Chevy logo on the grille. I haven't noticed this on other programs and wondered if it was something new.
I think there was more than one Tahoe used in the program since I seem to remember different colored ones in the episode. So now I wonder if it was a product placement spot that somehow got cancelled and TLC did this as payback?
I was focusing on the logo being masked, it may have been a Suburban and not a Tahoe but that is beside the point.

has something to do with liscensing. they cant advertise the chevy logo unless authorized and I think they either have to be sponsored or they might have to pay for it.... for example Hawaii 5-0 the show is sponsored by chevy so they have commercials and also most of the cars used in the show are chevy. so go figure? at least that's my take on it

The episode on last night was Christina Applegate, and I noticed the same thing. Other vehicles in the show did not have their logos blanked out, but the Suburban she was driving did.
I think it is a licensing issue related to an advertising agreement that went south. If not then why did both episodes have the person driving a Chevy SUV featured in several shots of the program?
And I don't necessarily agree with the opinion that they can't advertise the chevy logo, it is the standard logo Chevy puts on all their Tahoes and Suburbans. It's just showing what you would normally see out in public every day.
