hey guys, i just bought a 07 ltz tahoe fully loaded in the bronze amber color. havn't seen that color to much around but i like it. It has the remote start on it, but when it starts up, the a/c/heat doesn't turn on as well. is this normal for the tahoe? on my acura you can leave the a/c/heat on the night before and when you start it up its already blowing. any and all help is welcome

I think I saw in the manual that the temp has to be set and it has to be in auto mode.

I'd have to check my manual, but when mine's on "auto," it comes on (heat or cool - depending on outside temp).

Nothing beats the seat heaters coming on when it's frosty outside!

OK from the manual:
If your vehicle has an automatic climate control system, during remote start, the climate control will default to a heating mode during colder outside temperatures and cooling mode during warmer outside temperatures.
If your vehicle does not have an automatic climate control system, during remote start the climate control will turn on the setting the vehicle was set to when the vehicle was turned off.

If you have an LTZ then you have Auto HVAC. The reason you aren't seeing your heated seats and heat come on is the outside temp. It senses and decides whether it needs to be on. I'm not sure but around 45 and below it will heat.

I'm not sure how hot it has to be to turn the A/C on.

That's cool, our Tahoes are smart.

Smart is right!

You don't even have to leave it in Auto. The fact that you have auto dictates how it works. You can leave it off or have it on any setting. It will still "decide" and use the appropriate setting when you remote start.
