noisy heater fan

Hello,

When I put my heater/AC on full defrost, I have a loud whistle/squeal coming out of the dash. The faster the fan the louder the squeal.

It does not do this on any other settings except full defrost, so I'm assuming there may be some sort of blockage or vent not fully opening/closing inside my dash ? Any clues or guesses would be great.

hey any luck figuring out the problem? i am having the same issue but the fan squeeks on all settings

Unplug the fan, I bet the squeak will stop....

I agree with lester lol... it could be the mode door actuator and or a leaf, piece of paper or some type of debris in the fan motor... drop the fan motor and see if there something caught in it
