noise from rear area

Noise sounds like a pump of some sort. Will come on and then stop. Any idea what it could be? This Tahoe is brand new to me and is our first one. Just trying to figure everything out.

Noticed a strange sound coming from rear wheel when making turns early this season. Sounds like a hum/vibration like going over the grooved yellow line on the highway. Only happens when doing turns so I was thinking it was the rear tire tread and normal.

The newer Tahoes are self leveling... when you start the car, the car adjusts it's height with a little compressor in the suv. What you are probably hearing are the air pumps working...
