The other day I started up my 2000 tahoe limited and took my son to school and went to the store and then home for about 15 mins. After bing home for those 15 mins I went to get in my truck and it wouldn't start. It did just sit there and just turn over it acted like it wanted to started but never did. Now it will crank over a little bit and act like it wants to start but nothing. I have spark, fuel pump works, I made sure it was still at TDS and ever tried starting it with starting fluid but that didn't even work. I don't have the money to take it anywhere and my buddy who helps me work on my vehicles is on call for work and hasn't had a chance to get over. I need all the help ASAP please. I don't think it jumped timing and if it did then it jumped it 180 out. Thanks all

Everything comes on. The truck was running perfect before this all happened. Has new cap, rotor, distributor. I just thought of something that I didn't check. I have spark coming from the coil but I didn't check to see if I have spark come at the spark plug

gonna need to look at the data stream see if you have a crank signal (rpm) the most you can do with out that is clean the Mass air, check fuses. going out on a limb but maybe fuel filter could be clogged there should be a shrader valve on the fuel rail see if fuel sprays out

So if it wont fire on carb cleaner or starting fluid, you have lost ignition/timing/compression..... Check for spark at plugs and check coil wire resistance...... Make shure your spark is white, maybe your coil is taking a dump on ya.

I have compression, crank and cam sensor are good, fuel is good. Just don't have spark at the plugs. Is there any way of test the coil? It is an accel coil that's about 2 years old. plug wires are only a few months old. think im gonna try getting a coil off my buddies trucks and see what happens
