My 2004 recently failed my PA emissions test due to the check engine light not working properly. Sometimes it comes on then off, as it should. Other times it doesn't come on at all. I checked the bulb and it seems to be working. I talked to a Chevy tech and said he's never heard of this condition before. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

:welcome: I have the same problem periodically on my 99. I have ree-set it by removing the negative battery cable for a few minutes, which allows the light to go off. I may go several days before it comes back on. The vehicle runs perfect, so I just ignore it. Good luck,
