Hello, :waytogo:
first I want to introduce myself shortly. I'm Uli from Berlin, germany. That also explains my bad english .... I hope you understand me.....:(
I lived as a teenager ( ca. 1976-78 ) in Illinois, Thornton (Chicago suburban area) where I also made my driver's license and baught me a 1968 Camaro SS :peace:.
And I idiot did not take it with me back to Germany, because it was so cheap back then, shipping was more expensive than the car ..... now a real rarity, anyway...

Since these day´s I have always had at least 1 Chevy as a fun car (Camaro´s, Chevelle, Corvette´s and now a Tahoe 1997)

Now, please allowed me a first question:
The reverse gear always jumps out. The automatic transmission has been tested and is fine.
When I shift to four-wheel drive hi, everything works fine, I even can push heavy trailers backwarts, however, the indicator light flashes. (both 4WD low&hi )
I was told that might the electrical shifting-motor moves not far enough.
I baught a new one, but that was not the problem.

Are there may be any setting options at the linkage/automatic-transmission or somewhere at the 4WD-gearbox or the transfer-case?

No "Expert" here can find the mistake, and I really don´t want to replace the whole driving unit, still don´t have the mistake and in the end it was the switch in the dashboard......:sad72:
That really it's not worth the fun. Then I rather prefer a few more hand grips to drive backwards for the 1500 miles/year, I drive the car ;)

If anyone has any ideas, I would be very happy. :help:

Greetings from Berlin :happy160:
Uli
