The truck was setting for about 5 years, only 54k on it, fuel pump was dead, It would run when I squirted gas in the throttle body, I cleaned the tank out.

I installed the new fuel pump, I can hear it run when I turn the key, but it doesn't hold the pressure, once the pump shuts off the pressure drops.
But two different times when I was cranking it and stopped ,it did hold pressure, cranked it a couple more times and then pressure dropped off when I stopped cranking.
So far I don't see anything leaking.
Pressure is at about 62, PSI , while cranking.
Poured gas in the throttle body and it started right up.
I don't know if it matters, but I only put about 4 1/2 gallons of gas in the tank.
When the key is on I hear clicking somewhere by the metering assembly.
Could the fuel pressure regulator be causing this problem ???
Even if it doesn't hold pressure shouldn't it start as long as there's pressure while cranking???

I got one code, P0452, Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor/ Switch Low Input

I am quite interested in your solution. I have many of the the same symptoms.

What did you do in 11 min?

If you notice the date ,Got it running, was the next day

What I did was put more gas in the tank, then kept pouring gas in the throttle body finally she kept running, been starting great ever since
I don't think the pump was getting properly primed
Old Fuel pump was in bad shape, took all day to clean the tank
