New to site, shock/strut questions

I bought a 2002 Tahoe LS 4x4 w/215k over the winter. I love the truck so far, especially in the snow. I think I need to replace the shocks/strut, and have no idea where to start. I am not interested in raising or lowering my truck, and would like to here from y'all about the best options for replacing them. A quick Google search didn't help, too many choices. So here I am looking for advice from the people that are actually out there owning, driving, and repairing Tahoes.
