New starter, now tahoe won't start and security light is on

Hi guys,

I have a 2005 Tahoe LT, the starter was going out so i bought a new one and installed it. Now it won't start at all, it just cranks and cranks. The passlock security light comes on when i lock the door, and flashes when it's cranking. Any ideas how to fix this? It does have an aftermarket remote start installed, if that could be a culprit. It has never done this before.

I even tried putting the old starter back in; same thing happens.
