First off just saying hi to everyone. I drive a 95 yukon 4dr, 4wd with a 2000 denali conversion. I recieved a bull bar as a gift for christmas and it doesnt fit because of the 2000 denali front end. Would anyone know where i could just buy brackets for the 2000 model yukons or would it be easier to return it and buy the bull bar for a 2000?

If it was me and they would let you swap it out for that year then you will know it will bolt right up

I read something on wikipedia, can't find it now but it said denalis, z71s and escalades didn't switch over to gmt800 until 2001 where the other suvs switched to gmt800 in 2000. (and the pickups did in 99)

So a 2000 denali should be gmt400 just like a 95 yukon. If it doesn't fit because of a denali conversion, one for a standard 2000 yukon probably wouldn't work either since a standard 2000 yukon would be a gmt800 and not a gmt400 like your yukon is or a gmt400 like a 2000 denali would be. sounds like there's something else going on there.

well with all the brackets attached to the bar i had someone put it in place, and the brackets were like an inch and a half short on both sides from lining up with the holes.

What is the extent of the conversion on your vehicle? I am interested to see what your vehicle looks like, can you post a photograph? John Redcorn is correct that the 2000 GMC Yukon is also a GMT 400 platform vehicle.

I am impressed. I had initially thought that you simply had the front end conversion that people often do, leaving the remainder of the vehicle looking unfinished. Your vehicle looks good though because everything matches, even the roof rack. I see you even have the Yukon Denali interior seating? I would recommend returning the item and replacing it with the model for the GMT 400 Yukon Denali. Let us know how this turns out.
