I have an '04 Tahoe that sometimes makes a funny noise when I start it. I have heard people talking about a "slapping piston" problem that Chevrolet has had with these trucks. Anyone know anything about this problem. Or the sound could also be described as a stuttering sound since I turn the key and it will start. However, it sounds like something sticks and there is a slight stuttering sound, maybe the "slapping piston" that I have heard about. When I took it to the dealer of course it didn't make the sound because as I said it only makes that sound sometimes. Well actually, the first time I heard it was about two months ago. Then last week I heard it again. I haven't heard anything since. Definitely not normal. Suggestions?
I also wanted to know if anyone has installed a third seat to their Tahoe. Mine came without a third-row when I bought it, but I was wondering if one could install the third-row or is that something the dealership can do. Prices? Suggestions?
Thank you in advance for any help that you may provide!!
